What the hell has been going on? Let me tell you.

I've been busy. I can't as yet say at what, but I can tell you my efforts for the last two years have been increasingly along a parallel path which will, at its ultimate end (I hope), lead to greater success for the Saga of Ages.

I started this adventure working full time and raising a family, all while trying to write and promote on the side. And while this has been hugely rewarding personally, that sort of effort wasn't going to lead to the broad impact I was after. It took me about a year or so of really going at it to realize this. But then the question became, how else to go about it? I gave this some serious thought and, with the help of a few friends, determined a better course of action.

These things take time. Yet passion always prevails. I've kept the site alive as I've pursued this other angle. You can still buy books. All the items on the site are still relevant. I have been increasingly absent at the shows. I haven't completed the next book, though I have strong outlines for all three remaining and will get them out in short order once I reach that point. Worse than all of this, perhaps, is that my e-mail has become so clogged with junk that it's become practically useless. Having a missing channel for contact has no doubt left many of you frustrated. In an effort to at least maintain a means of reaching me I'm putting my personal Yahoo address at the top of this page. Any who've read The One will recognize this as the race of aliens that found their way to Earth at the beginning of that story. : )

   So what now?

See my new endeavor through to it's logocal end: money and, more specifically, contacts. The old cliche of "who you know" couldn't be truer. Efforts to this end are very much a part of my plan. Then, a re-look at Priestess and The One. Following that, re-work both into graphic novels and coordinate a broad release in that form, coupled with a re-release of the novels. In conjunction with that the writing of Annihilator to complete the core trilogy of the Saga. At the end of that phase I'll begin work on the first two books of the series, the prequels to the trilogy, God of War and Six Kings. In fact, you can find the first chapters of Six Kings on Amazon — proof that I haven't been totally slouching! See the Six Kings page for more.

Preparing the stories for graphic novel format will lead nicely into scripts. Which means movies. And that's phase two: DVDs of each book in each novel. Fantastic? Perhaps, but that's where I'm headed.

In short, I answered the daunting task of making a big splash by shooting way higher than I ever imagined at the start. But I'm making it. Step by step.

Thanks to all who've remained interested in my "absence". Funny thing is, I'm doing it all for you. My overriding passion is to create a universe that others can get into and where they can thoroughly enjoy themselves. That's what keeps me fully charged and racing ahead.

Passion will prevail. Even if sometimes you have to try a different path to get there.
